Dark Angel Times April 2010

Spring is here, and so is Adverse Camber! So we’ll tell you some more about that in this issue of The Dark Angel Times, about where you can hear an exclusive album sampler, and about an exclusive live acoustic radio session that’s happening next week, just before we head out on tour (and there’s a timely reminder of those dates as well!). Finally, we are delighted to let you know about our pre-gig meet-up group, The Fallen Angels, where you can get together with fellow fans beforehand and enjoy a drink and a chat in great company. Adverse Camber We cannot quite believe that is has been over 18 months since we released "Dark Angel" and now, here we are with our 3rd full length album, "Adverse Camber". We started writing this back in October 2009 and set ourselves 6 months to write, record, mix, master and press it - guess what, we did it!! This album has been the most relaxed, most enjoyable, most fun and most creative experience we have been through since the band’s inception and this really shows when you listen to the songs. Adverse Camber is definitely the most cohesive, mature sounding record we have created to date. Everything you expect from The Reasoning is there - big, lush, multi layered vocals, catchy choruses, driving, rocking riffs, beautiful acoustic sections - you name it, it's there plus a whole lot more and all, just for you. Adverse Camber will only be available initially on the Spring tour, but for those of you that can’t get to any of the gigs, then you won’t have to wait long, as it will go on general release from all major stockists on 3rd May.
There is an exclusive nine-minute sampler on our redesigned website at www.thereasoning.com which we hope you’ll love, where you can also get a preview of the new album artwork. You can also find easily-accessible links to all things The Reasoning, including our iTunes and Amazon pages, Facebook and all our other sites. Spring tour dates We’re sure you have these in your diary (and as many of you are coming to multiple gigs we look forward to an extended party) but here they are:

The Fallen Angels How often do you go to a gig where you don’t know anybody? We thought it would be a great idea if there was somewhere where you could get to know each other beforehand, and relax with a drink and a chat in excellent company. So we created The Fallen Angels and found some local hostelries which we think will be very suitable, and these are set out below. Our aim is to make this a fully inclusive group, where everybody has a voice and anybody can make a suggestion, but above all to have a good time and make every The Reasoning gig even more special! There are more details on The Fallen Angels Facebook page (you don’t need to be a Facebook member to see it) and we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Jo Venables for all her hard work in making this happen. Live on BBC Radio Wales We are delighted to announce that we will be appearing on BBC Radio Wales’ The Evening Show on Monday 19th April. We will be performing an exclusive live acoustic set between 7.30pm-8.30pm and if you can’t get it to your radio (93-96 and 104 FM, or 657 & 882 AM) you can hear it online at http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/ , on channel 0117 on Sky digital satellite, channel 714 on Freesat, channel 719 on Freeview , and via channel 931 on Digital cable. The future So 2010 is storming ahead, but there’s going to be a lot more from us yet! Don’t forget about High Voltage: the festival line-up is looking amazing and we can’t wait to take to the stage with some of the all-time greats. Check it out at http://www.highvoltagefestival.com/
And of course we’ll be working on the follow-up to Adverse Camber after the Spring tour, which will be released later this year, and we’ll be bringing you lots more news on tour dates over the coming months. Well, that’s it for now! We are look forward to catching up with old friends, and meeting new ones, over the next couple of weeks, so we’ll see you on the road! Lots of love The Reasoningxxx
